At Roger Vivier’s Fall 2025 presentation in Paris, everything was coming up roses. Upon entering the beautiful little hôtel particulier, guests were greeted by a striking cherry-red carpet covering the charming cobblestone, welcoming fashion’s elite into a series of rooms showcasing the brand’s new collection. Think: rose-covered versions of the label’s infamously popular square-toe Belle Vivier heels and satin bags in a rainbow of electric hues, each topped with metal roses. Every detail aligned with the central motif of the rose—even the bag handles were accented with thorns.

“It’s an homage to the archive,” said Gherardo Felloni, creative director, who was decked out in antique jewelry and a black button-down shirt, as per his usual style statement. “I like to take inspiration from the archive and try to reinterpret it in a contemporary way, and so I got inspired by the rose. Why? Because Roger Vivier was the first in history to basically take a 3D rose from couture hats and attach it to a pump.”

One of the most popular rooms at the event was the mirrored ballet belle of the ball setup. The walls were lined with displays of neon-orange, olive-green, and pink shoes, each topped with sculptural metal roses in silver and gold. In the center of the room, a ballerina danced on a graphic rose carpet under a glass chandelier, with a mirrored wall creating a surreal effect.

“Of course, I love colors, as you know, so there’s a lot of color in this room,” said Felloni. “This is super nice also because, as you know, Vivier was the master of colored shoes. So I always like to say, I use this as a kind of code in the maison.”

Another staple of every Roger Vivier presentation is the emphasis on the artisanal craftsmanship behind the footwear. Throughout the various rooms, different craftspeople showcased their skills—creating rosettes, engaging in leatherwork, and making Roger Vivier’s signature square buckles. This season’s standout offering? Leopard-print buckle duffle bags to match the shoes. Another room featured a video projection inspired by the iconic actress Marlene Dietrich (one of the brand’s celebrity clients), highlighting some of her most famous quotes.

Olivia Colman, Gwendoline Christie, and Leslie Bibb stopped by to join the festivities and greet Felloni, posing against the backdrop of a supersized black heel that, naturally, was accessorized with a giant pink rosette. Champagne flowed, and a cozy café area allowed excited show-goers and celebrities alike to take a break from the fashion week frenzy, socialize, and catch up on the day’s collections. An outdoor garden area provided a gorgeous respite, especially given the perfectly mild weather—neither too hot nor too cold, a rare treat during Paris Fashion Week. Elsewhere, French fashion icons Catherine Deneuve, Lou Doillon, Inès de la Fressange, and Amanda Lear each took turns posing for photos against the aforementioned giant shoe.
