While Bella Hadid is a seasoned trendsetter in her own right, this time she’s taking a page out of Kendrick Lamar’s book.

Yesterday in Los Angeles, Hadid ran errands in a pair of ultra-low-rise jeans with embellished pockets and belt loops. She cinched the waistband with a thick black leather belt. The pants, which hugged her thighs before kicking out at the knee and dragged on the ground, were reminiscent of the Celine flare jeans Lamar wore for his recent Super Bowl Half-Time performance. Amongst warring factions of denim—bootcut, skinny, baggy—Team Flare has two very powerful allies.

Hadid also wore a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier top, likely from the ’90s, covered in his multicolored currency pattern. The V-neck long-sleeve was held close by three floppy orange flower buttons. The model finished off her look with a pair of small wire-rimmed sunglasses and a brown woven hobo bag. And, never one to abandon her Western style, Hadid incorporated a pair of cowboy boots into her ’fit.

In her vintage JPG top Bella Hadid continues to ride the naughties wave. But her low-rise flares may just catapult the jeans further into the stratosphere.
