George Clooney is rocking a more colorful look than usual.
The normally silver-haired actor stepped out in New York City March 8 where he debuted a striking new chocolate brown coiffe. George, 63, paired his new color treatment with a fashionable black leather jacket and beige chinos as he got into a waiting SUV.
The hair transformation appeared to be for George’s upcoming run in the Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck, which begins previews March 12. The stage production is an adaptation of the 2005 film of the same name—which he wrote and directed—and although he portrayed news producer Fred Friendly in the film, he’s set to fill the leading role of journalist Edward R. Murrow in the play.
While the Ocean’s Eleven star’s salt-and-pepper ‘do has become his signature over the years, he’s also maintained his classic hairstyle thanks to his trusty barber: himself.
“I’ve been cutting my own hair for 25 years,” he told CBS Sunday Morning in November 2020. “Look, my hair is really like straw, and so it’s easy to cut. You can’t really make too many mistakes.”
