Isabelle Degeorges, President of French production group Gaumont Télévision will receive this year’s Women in Series Award at French television festival and industry confab Series Mania.
Degeorges has produced international successes including Lupin starring Omar Sy for Netflix and Becoming Karl Lagerfeld with Daniel Brühl for Disney+. Recent work includes Signal for Paramount+, Netflix series Lords of Scam and Pax Massilia, and The Art of Crime for France Télévisions. She is also vice president of USPA, France’s leading guild for audiovisual producers.
“Isabelle’s remarkable career, which has led her to the Presidency of Gaumont Télévision, has helped to promote French original series and IP internationally,” said Series Mania founder and general director Laurence Herszberg. “Works such as Lupin and Becoming Karl Lagerfeld, to name only two, testify to the breadth and impact of her work, which is recognized and praised by all.”
Francesco Capurro, Director of Séries Mania Forum called Degeorges “passionate, attentive, and approachable, making her a true source of inspiration and a role model for our industry.”
Degeorges will receive her honor in Lille on March 25th during the Series Mania awards ceremony and will take part in a fireside chat at the festival on March 26th.
“This award is a wonderful tribute to twenty-five incredible years dedicated to what I believe is the most beautiful profession in the world: telling stories through series,” Degeorges said.
A graduate of Sorbonne University, Isabelle started her career at Images et Compagnie, part of the Lagardère Group. She joined Gaumont in 2011, tasked with setting up its French television division. She’s been president of Gaumont Television France since 2013.
Previous Woman in Series Award winners include HBO Max EMEA general manager Christina Sulebakk, EbonyLife Group CEO Mo Abudu, and Quay Street Productions CEO Nicola Shindler.
The 2025 edition of Series Mania runs March 21 to 28.
