Sharon Stone will star in the long-awaited third season of HBO‘s Euphoria, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

“There is little more exciting than going to work with this team of thrilling talent,” Stone shared in a statement on Thursday regarding her casting. “From the genius of Sam Levinson to the raw sophistication of this profoundly moving cast and tight crew. I am honored to be Euphoric.” Earlier this month, THR reported that the veteran actress was in talks for a role on the hit show, created by Levinson.

Though details on Stone’s role are being kept under wraps, she will be joining a stacked roster on the hit show, which includes Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Eric Dane and Colman Domingo, among others.

Stone, an Oscar nominee, is a notable addition to Euphoria season three, having starred in dozens of notable films throughout her decades-long career, including Basic Instinct, Total Recall, Sliver and Casino, the latter directed by Martin Scorsese. Most recently, she worked alongside Bob Odenkirk in Nobody 2, Universal’s sequel to the 2021 surprise hit that’s set to premiere in theaters on Aug. 15, 2025. The actress is repped by Independent Artist Group and Brecheen Feldman.

Earlier this month, HBO revealed that production has begun for season three after a nearly three-year hiatus. Several new castmembers were also officially announced, including NFL star turned actor Marshawn Lynch (Love Hurts), Grammy winner Rosalia, Kadeem Hardison (The Chi, A Different World), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Suicide Squad), Toby Wallace (FX’s Pistol), Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Darrell Britt-Gibson and Anna Van Patten. Akinnouye-Agbaje and Wallace will be regulars, while the other actors will have “notable” guest roles, according to HBO.

As for Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry, who had recurring roles in season two, they’ve been upped to regular status for the third installment. Domingo is returning as a guest star.

Season three will feature a time jump, taking the show’s younger characters past their high school years. Though a premiere date hasn’t been released, the new season will likely air in 2026.

The InSneider newsletter first broke the news of Stone’s negotiations with Euphoria earlier in February.
