Seth Rogen as a newly-installed film studio head panics over whether art and commerce can co-exist in Hollywood in the latest trailer for Apple TV+’s The Studio, which dropped on Friday.

Rogen plays Matt Remick, head of Continental Studios, the fictional movie maker at the center of the Apple series and finds himself forever fighting and debating with his fellow creatives and demanding actors over whether art and commerce can co-exist in Hollywood.

“I love movies, but now I have this fear that my job is to ruin them,” Rogen as Remick tells Patty Leigh (Catherine O’Hara) during a Hollywood Hills meeting, with Los Angeles stretching well into the distance. The latest trailer comes before a premiere of The Studio at SXSW on Friday night and illustrates a comedic series about movie studio execs having to juggle corporate demands with creative ambitions.

“If it was up to me, we’d be focusing on making the next Rosemary’s Baby or Annie Hall, or some great film that wasn’t directed by a pervert,” Rogen declares to a colleague as they cross a backlot in a golf cart.

But they’re not turning out 1970s art house masterpieces, as Remick instead comes to fear with every argument and uproar over script, casting or marketing decisions that making movies may very well destroy him.

The Studio also stars Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders, while Bryan Cranston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Dewayne Perkins recur as guest stars. The ten-parter will debut on Apple TV+ with two episodes on March 26, followed by one episode weekly through May 21.

Rogen also serves as co-creator, writer, director and executive producer alongside Evan Goldberg. The Lionsgate Television series was created by Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory, along with Rogen, Goldberg and Frida Perez. James Weaver, Alex McAtee, Josh Fagen, Rogen and Goldberg share executive producer credits on the series that stems from Lionsgate’s first look deal with Point Grey Pictures.
