Directed by Michael Gracey, Better Man chronicles the rise and fall (and rise again) of British pop star Robbie Williams (as himself). However, the part of Williams is played by an anthropomorphic chimpanzee (actor Jonno Davies in a motion capture ape suit, then rendered using computer generation). The 50-year-old singer was a member of the chart-topping U.K. pop group Take That until he left in 1995 to launch his solo career.
The film also features Steve Pemberton, Alison Steadman and others. It runs two hours and 16 minutes.
